Kellie Martin, an American actor and actress on television and film. She is best known for her roles in the roles of Christy Huddleston in the period drama series 'Christy', Rebecca Thatcher in the family drama 'Life Goes On' and Lucy Knight in the medical drama series 'ER'. Her other notable roles include her title character in the Hailey Dean Mystery series. Martin was the daughter of a department shop buyer and the kindergarten teacher. She began acting as a child at the age of seven. her aunt, an nanny for Michael Landon's household, assisted Martin find a role as in the TV show Father Murphy. She began acting professionally following her graduation from Yale University. This led to her being offered major roles both in the television and film industry. Martin, in addition to being an excellent actor and dancer, she is also a successful ballet photographer. As a mother to two children, she has been named the national spokesperson for Lupus. She has also actively promoted Lupus since the time her younger sister died from the illness at age 19.
